Hawai‘i Circle of Care for Dementia

Catholic Charities Hawai‘i (CCH), a private, nonprofit social service organization, has been helping people in need, regardless of their faith, since 1947. CCH provides an array of in-home and community-based services for seniors, including transportation, senior center programming, case management and benefits assistance.

Our Hawai‘i Circle of Care for Dementia provides dementia caregiver presentations (virtual and in-person), one-to-one caregiver support (REACH Community) and some case management services for persons living alone with dementia.

CCH also provides the following:

  • IDEA!: a free presentation for caregiver groups, churches and other organizations that teaches the basics about working with persons with dementia.
  • SHARE: an evidence-based intervention that matches a dyad (a person at an early stage of dementia plus a care partner/caregiver) with a certified counselor to plan for the future.
  • EARLY STAGE SUPPORT GROUP: for those who have received a recent dementia diagnosis or are experiencing early dementia symptoms.
  • WEBINARS: for caregivers needing help to understand and cope with behavioral issues.
