ANNUAL AGING IN PLACE WORKSHOP

Saturday, August 12, 2023

8:00am – 2:15pm

Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu

Generations Magazine will host its 15th Annual Aging in Place Workshop on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The popular, all-day event will be held from 8:00am to 2:15pm at the Ala Moana Hotel, 410 Atkinson Drive, Honolulu. It is free to the public and no reservations are required.

What is aging in place? Aging in place is the ability to live in one’s own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level. Aging in place promotes feeling of security and satisfaction, a positive quality of life and self-esteem all of which are needed to remain happy and healthy, well into old age. Most seniors want to stay in their homes as long as possible, and every day, more services and great strategies become available to help them do just that.

Who should attend the workshop? Everyone is welcome, from soon-to-be seniors who are planning ahead, to seniors, their families and caregivers.
